Hello, this is the Public Relations Department. The chorus contest is one of the three major events of our junior high school. The theme of this year's chorus contest was "Spiritoso ~Resonance x Echoing for Life~",
"Spiritoso" is a musical term meaning to put one's heart and soul into one's singing. It was created with the hope that people will put their thoughts and feelings into their singing and let their voices resonate.
Also, an art appreciation event was held on the same day. Mr. Hiroshi Aoshima and Mr. Tsutomu Ono came as lecturers and gave valuable talks and performances.
☆ Chorus of first and second graders
The chorus contest started with the chorus of the 1-3 students. The chorus was very stable and seemed to be an appropriate way to open the chorus competition. It was a chorus that showed the accumulation of practice, and everyone's voltage for the chorus competition was rising rapidly. The second graders' chorus was attractive with their loud voices and rich expressions, and I could feel their creative thinking and interpretations based on the discussions and interpretations they had made in the music class, such as, "This lyric may have this kind of meaning," and "Let
's be conscious of the crescendo here to make it more lively.
☆ Art Appreciation
Mr. Hiroshi Aoshima and Mr. Tsutomu Ono gave lectures. Mr. Aoshima played the piano and Mr. Ono sang a total of 10 pieces, including "Near the river in the Spring" by Rentaro Taki, "Erlkönig" by Schubert, and "Natsu no omoide" by Yoshinao Nakata, which the students had studied in music class. The last two songs, "Near the river in the Spring" and "Natsu no omoide," were sung together by the students. It was a precious and meaningful time for all the students to sing in unison. The goal of the chorus contest is to "make the singing voice resound," which requires all the members to unite their hearts and their minds, and to unify their direction. I think it was good that all the members sang together and had a sense of unity.
☆ Third grade, class chorus / grade chorus "Praise the Earth"
After the Art Appreciation Party was over, the third grade's class chorus, and grade chorus "Praise the Earth" were performed. The third grade chorus fully demonstrated the choral ability and unity they have cultivated up to now, and the faces of the third graders on stage were full of confidence, befitting of the stage illuminated by the lights. As the theme of the chorus contest says, it seemed to be filled with the "feelings" of the all three years. The chorus of nearly 140 voices was exceptional. The chorus was a fitting conclusion to the chorus contest, and at the same time, the third-year students showed their expectations as they leave the attached junior high school and move forward into a new environment.
I believe that the chorus contest, as an event, strengthened the unity of all the classes, and was something that could lead to the next event.
Although the chorus contest was the last of the three major events at the attached junior high school this school year, we will continue to work on various things with our goals in mind! Good Bye!!
